A hands-on retail position is currently available for a warm, responsible and detail-focused person who will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of our Adelaide Arcade store.

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (or Permanent Part-Time 0.4 for suitable candidate)
Salary Range: $62,000–$75,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience and suitability
Hours: Full-time or Part-time, including occasional weekend and peak seasonal trading periods (Nov-Dec)

As the primary custodian of our Adelaide Arcade store, you will take pride in maintaining exceptional presentation, supporting customers with care and professionalism, and helping the business continue to grow through outstanding customer experiences and continually improving your store.

Delivers exceptional customer service and creates a warm, welcoming environment for every customer who visits the store
Builds genuine customer relationships and encourages repeat business through personalised service and product knowledge
Maintains a thorough understanding of the Ditters product range, ingredients, gifting options, seasonal products and brand story
Drives sales performance by leading the team to achieve store sales targets and identifying opportunities to increase average transaction value
Takes personal accountability for the store's performance, customer experience and commercial outcomes
Understands store results against targets and uses available sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement
Proactively seeks opportunities to improve store performance, operations and customer satisfaction
Maintains a consistently high standard of store presentation, visual merchandising and cleanliness
Ensures all products are displayed, rotated and presented in accordance with Ditters standards
· Oversees inventory management processes to ensure stock availability, minimise wastage and maintain accurate stock records
Ensures operational procedures are followed, including cash handling, banking, opening and closing procedures, and loss prevention measures
Plans to ensure seasonal ranges, promotional activity and key trading periods are executed successfully
Meets operational deadlines and administrative requirements in a timely and accurate manner
Works collaboratively with the wider Ditters team to support marketing initiatives, local events and business growth opportunities
Identifies opportunities to build the store's customer base through community engagement, local business relationships and outstanding customer experiences
Takes pride in representing the Ditters brand and ensuring every customer interaction reflects the values and reputation of the business

Prepares and manages staff rosters to ensure appropriate coverage during trading hours while balancing customer service requirements and wage budgets
Effectively manages casual team members, providing clear direction, accountability and support to ensure consistent store standards are maintained
Ensures all team members maintain a strong understanding of Ditters products, procedures, promotions and customer service expectations
Coordinates the onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to perform their role successfully
Regularly communicates important business updates, product information, seasonal priorities and operational changes to the team through meetings, written communications and day-to-day coaching
Identifies knowledge gaps within the team and implements training initiatives to continually improve product knowledge, sales capability and customer service standards
Maintains clear and consistent communication with all team members to ensure expectations, priorities and store objectives are understood and achieved

Minimum 2–5 years' experience in a retail, hospitality or customer-facing management role
Demonstrated experience supporting, coaching or leading others in a workplace environment
Strong customer service skills and a genuine passion for creating exceptional customer experiences
Experience working in a business where relationship building, personalised service and customer satisfaction are highly valued
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
Proven ability to lead by example and foster a positive, supportive and accountable team culture
High standards of personal presentation, professionalism and hygiene
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes and ways of working
A mature, reliable and professional approach to work, with sound judgement and a willingness to take ownership
Experience preparing staff rosters, managing day-to-day store operations and supporting business performance is highly regarded
Experience in premium retail, specialty food, gifting, hospitality or customer-focused service environments will be highly regarded
